ATK-B6L residual-current circuit breakers

ATK-B6L combines overcurrent and residual-current protection. In selects the load-current rating; IΔn selects the residual operating-current option of 30, 50, 75 or 100 mA. These are different quantities and must be selected for different purposes. Confirm the required protective function, normal leakage and coordination with upstream devices. The residual-current option does not turn the device into an insulation monitor for an unearthed IT network.

The residual-current unit adds installation width to the breaker. Use the dimension row for the exact current range, pole arrangement and standard or H version. ATK-B6L is rated 6–63 A / 6 kA; ATK-B6L(H) extends to 80 A / 10 kA. Neutral routing, terminal capacity and accessory clearance must match the chosen assembly. Do not substitute the dimensions of a B6 miniature breaker for the complete B6L assembly.

The R indication identifies residual-current tripping, while the test function checks the associated protective operation under the specified conditions. Plan testing according to the product instructions and maintenance schedule. After a trip, establish the cause and restore the circuit only after the fault is resolved and the required reset sequence is completed. Separate routine functional tests from inspection of insulation, wiring and connected loads.
