Enterprise and Commercial Data Centers

Data centers need to coordinate power supply continuity, backup power and operation and maintenance. Monitoring information is used to support daily inspections, anomaly identification and maintenance response.

Automatic switching of dual power supplies, distribution circuit monitoring and column cabinet status management respectively undertake different tasks and should be configured collaboratively around the power supply structure and key loads.

data center

Data centers can use different AC or DC power supply structures depending on the design. Live parts of IT systems are insulated from earth or connected to earth through high impedance; exposed conductive parts of equipment remain grounded as required. Insulation monitoring should match the actual system form, and the DC system cannot be directly equated to the transformer neutral point structure.

Online insulation monitoring of ungrounded systems can observe the system's insulation to ground by measuring signals. With the fault locating device and branch circuit transformer, the abnormal circuit can be further identified. Monitoring, positioning and protection actions should be configured separately according to the system design.

Insulation monitoring covers the status of the corresponding supply cables and connected loads. After alarm and branch circuit information is sent to the monitoring terminal, it can help operators narrow the scope of inspection and arrange maintenance based on on-site inspection; monitoring results cannot replace complete fault analysis and protective measures.
